Who is Evan?

Evan Woodall is a licensed professional counselor supervisor and registered play therapist supervisor in private practice in Texas. She has a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Adams State University, an EdS in Play Therapy from the University of Mississippi, and an MA from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.

She specializes in working with kids and their parents. Her background is in early intervention where she was an early intervention specialist for years working with children 0-3 with special needs and their families. The early intervention gig provided her the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience working with developmental delays (autism, down syndrome, etc.) and challenging children and family situations. She primarily works with children 0-young college-aged and of course families.

While CCPT (child centered play therapy) is her natural medium, she uses a prescriptive approach when working with children and families and enjoys the challenge of being creative when working with teens.

As if she isn't doing enough, she added a twp therapy-dogs-in-training to her practice. Ruby the Sheepadoodle, and Dibs the Goldendoodle, have added an interesting dynamic in session with the older kids, teens, and interestingly enough, parents. Ruby, Dibs, and Evan are in training for Animal Assisted Play Therapy.

She really loves what she does and is super passionate about the mental health field.
